High Speed Disperser Selection & Applications

Assess material, batch, viscosity, air/VOC requirements and development stage before choosing a configuration.

1. Material

Water-based: standard motor. Solvent-based: explosion-proof motor and operation box; ATEX/IECEx optional.

2. Batch size

Below 3,000L: PDM, PDH or PVM. 3,000L and above: PSD platform; one head can serve 1–4 vessels with 360° rotation.

3. Viscosity / solids

Low viscosity: PDM single-shaft. Medium-high viscosity or high solids: PDH double-shaft.

4. Air / VOC

For deaeration or reduced solvent volatilisation: PVM vacuum, ≤-0.09MPa.

5. Development stage

Start with laboratory models, maintain D/T≈0.33 and 20–25m/s tip speed, then scale to production.

6. Vessel options

220/380/415/440/460V, 50/60Hz; SS304/SS316; single/double jacket; flat or domed cover; clamp, scraper and dust cover options.
